Daffodil Day symbolises hope for 1 in 3 New Zealand'ers affected by cancer. Since 1990 this iconic event has inspired people to come together and support the Cancer Society's work. As well as providing an opportunity to raise awareness of cancer in New Zealand.
Whether it's buying daffodils / donating to our street collectors, purchasing our merchandise, or making a donation by
text/phone/online, every gift counts. Your donations will go towards vital scientific research into the causes and treatment of all types of cancer, as well as providing a wide range of support services, education and awareness campaigns/programmes for people affected by cancer in your area.
We are so grateful for the valuable support received from many organisations, groups and people across NZ who donate their time and money as a sign of their commitment to our cause.
Daffodil day 2023 is Friday the 25th of August and we will have collectors on the streets in Wairoa, Napier, Taradale, Greenmeadows, Hastings, Havelock North and Central Hawkes Bay on both Friday and also for a few hours on Saturday the 26th of August, 2023.
